New Projects

Crib Set

I have completed a few crib sets for friends. This one I did for my Abigail due in 3 weeks. Hannah is very excited to meet her and share her room. A crib set includes: Bumper, Skirt, and Quilt and you can design it yourself and let me know how you'd like it made. This one was fun and it matches a quilt I made several months ago that covers Hannah's bed. They are made of the same fabrics. Since Abby and Hannah will share a room, it works out great!

Hooded Towels

I was so excited about how these turned out! I made them for each of the kids because they used some at their Aunt Megan's house and begged me for some. These are very "Pottery Barn" in style. I surprised them after they had been gone for two weeks staying with their Grandma and Grandpa during our move. I already have an order placed by a friend for four of them for Christmas! Thanks, Marcie!

The latest adventures.

Things have been busy in our lives lately. Last year, a woman who owns a high-end boutique in Florida began ordering blankets from me for her store. It was so precious to me that someone thought my blankets were special enough to carry in a store of this caliber. She is incredibly kind and has placed several orders in the past. However, the last 6 months have proven to be very chaotic with Jeff's deployment to Afghanistan and our move from Mississippi to Rhode Island. The ordering process was much more difficult with our traveling.

All of that to say, the official bricherdesigns.com website has been down for quite a while as I had posted prices on the site which I could not advertise because they were direct sale prices and she was having to sell them at a retail price much higher. Therefore, we are working on a new website on which we will no longer post prices or we will post the retail prices in the case that boutiques should choose to continue to carry my products. So my sincere apologies to all of you who have been looking for the official site and have not been able to access it. I do hope that it will be up and running again in the next couple of months.

In the meantime, I have discovered a few more items that I have been making for my friends that it seems people are interested in purchasing. So I will post some pictures of them here on the blog. I have not set firm prices on any of these yet but please feel free to inquire about them if you are interested.

As for our current life situation, Jeffrey has returned from Afghanistan and we are settling down in our new home in Rhode Island. We are REALLY enjoying the space in the new house. I am pregnant with our third child who we will name Abigail. She is due very soon. I'll include a picture of the nursery set I made for her. As you'll see my older daughter is VERY excited about the new addition. We have decided to homeschool Hannah for the Kindergarten year. I am very excited about having her home with me and our lessons have proven to be a wonderful opportunity for quality time between the two of us.

I am so thankful to all of you who have been placing orders and have encouraged me by sharing how much you enjoy giving are receiving your B.Covered blankets. It never gets old when I receive notes from you.

My first two toned blankets

I completed these blankets for two sisters. I think they turned out really cute with ivory on one side and dark brown on the other. I also had a friend of mine request a blanket with coordinating burp cloths. I hope you like the pics.
